Trevor Bentham Trevor Bentham is a former British stage manager and screenwriter. He was a partner with a British actor, Nigel Hawthorne for 22 years. The two partners had met when Trevor was stage managing the Royal Court Theatre in 1968. Trevor Bentham (born 11 October 1943)
From 1979 until Hawthorne’s death in 2001, they lived together in Radwell near Baldock and latterly at Thundridge, both in Hertfordshire, England. The two were fundraisers for Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, Herts hospice and other local charities.
He was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy in 1997. He lived with Nigel from 1979 till 2001 when Nigel died.
He is known for his work on films such as A Month by the Lake and The Clandestine Marriage12.
Despite his health challenges, he continued to contribute to the arts and was involved in various charitable activities alongside Hawthorne.
